a cross platform gpu layer is a _huge_ boon for SDL3 and adds (to me) the last major puzzle piece to SDL (bonus points if
TylerGlaiel s frame pacing goes in too tho )

Turns out 59% of my union (TEK) would not join any kind of direct action against the government that's currently planning on worsening workers' rights in all kinds of ways. Maybe it's time to join the engineers, they have a programmer's union and they're participating...

Hey, Oliver, your theory is cool and all. But now some guy in his basement can measure it happen in real time with a couple hundred bucks worth of gear.

Also, our telegraphs are pretty good now.

*extremely game developer voice* we're using our physically-based algorithm that has determined the 25 best colours and sounds. currently im working on the tone system, and i've made a start on the narrative themes system and the artistic direction system. i've found a way of implementing emotional connection with the player as a shader. we're hoping to expand the box physics model to handle dramatic irony, sarcasm, and both shallow and deep feelings of awe, while still running at a smooth 60fps
